New Delhi: The 2nd day of the Dental Health Utsav started with
free dental check up and to encourage more participation of common masses free
toothpaste and toothbrushes were distributed generously. Through dental
exhibits people were made cognizant with the subject as well as upcoming new
technologies in dentistry. The chief attraction of the day was "Run For
Smile “competition undertaken to promote awareness of oral health and hygiene
among public in
which around 150 people participated. The prizes were awarded
for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position
respectively and many other consolation prizes were also
distributed. All the participants
received a huge round of applause and appreciation.
It was followed by the most awaited event
"Mr.&Ms.MAIDS” which was conducted for the
first time. The event included the finalists chosen amongst the
students by the expert jury.
The most deserving & commendable students were selected by
online voting through a social
networking site. The title holders were awarded with the
attractive prizes.
The event was followed by a mesmerizing talk by Mr. Shiv Khera,
a renowned motivational
speaker, author of self help books and activist & much more.
His enthusiastic words were
motivational for all.
The day was incomplete till the charming SUFI QAWALI by the
great QUTABI
BROTHERS. The qawali lasted for about one hour and the audience
appreciated the
rejuvenating melodies. With this event MAIDS reached the zenith
of the day with the
melodies floating across the campus. To add to the glamour of
the day an inter college skit
& laughter competition was a good option. The delighted the
crowd with their witty humour
and never left a moment dry. In the roaring atmosphere everybody
dazzled to the beats of dj.
