Delhi: DTC Bus crew saved a girl child

New Delhi: Last night the DTC bus crew did a commendable job when they saved a girl child who was left in the DTC bus alone and nobody was with her. On 06.01.2013, the DTC bus No.DL 1PC 9097 of Millennium Depot-4, was plying on Route No.429, from DDA Flats Kalkaji to Delhi Gate. A girl, who was around 8 year old, boarded the said bus alongwith two other passengers from Bhogal Bus Stop. When the bus reached at Delhi Gate (destination point) at about 11.15 hrs., all the passengers deboard the bus but the girl child keep sitting in the bus. When the bus crew asked about her name and residence etc. she could not reply satisfactorily. Keeping in view the sensitivity of the matter, the bus crew immediately contacted the police telephonically. The bus crew also informed about the incident to DTC Control Room and its depot authorities. On the arrival of Police Personnels, the girl child was taken to Police Station Darya Ganj and after ascertaining the proper address of the child by the police she was handed over to her parents.
