Government takes the order of essentiality of Aadhar Card back.
New Delhi: On the initiative of Minister of Education, Prof. Kiran Walia, the Revenue Secretary & Divisional Commissioner of Delhi has issued orders of the requirement of Aadhar Card of the applicant on the prescribed application form in respect of the Income Certificates of the economically weaker section students to keep in abeyance till further orders. Prof. Kiran Walia while informing said that the students/applicants belonging to economically weaker categories wishing to get admission under their quota need to get Income Certificate and for that an Aadhar Card was essential. The essentiality of Aadhar Card for getting an Income Certificate was giving a lot of trouble to the admission seekers. Hundreds of applicants approached her seeking relief.
Prof. Walia, keeping in view the problems faced by the students of these sections of the society, Prof. Walia convinced Revenue Secretary to take the order of essentiality of Aadhar Card back.
The Revenue Secretary issued order today keeping in abeyance the said orders of requirement of compulsory Aadhar Card on the prescribed application form in respect of Income Certificate till further orders. The orders to this effect has been issued by the Secretary (Revenue) to all the Deputy Commissioners, SDMs and Tehsildars to bring this order in force with immediate effect.
