Sheila Dikshit visited the NCC Republic Day Parade Camp
New Delhi: Dikshit lauded the efforts of NCC in bringing about the change in the youth profile of the Nation by its untiring effort and dedication. She further stated that the NCC has helped to train and mould our youth to become responsible disciplined, motivated citizens and leaders in various walk of life. The spirit of the NCC needs to be replicated in many spheres of our society t bring about constructive social changes. The NCC has always been at the forefront of contributing towards social cause and community development activities.
Dikshit exhorted cadets to adopt a constructive approach as civil society has started questioning the established, age-old systems. The young boys & girls must be ready to take on the mantle of the national. She also exhorted the youth to join heads together to make our further better.
Earlier, NCC Boys Brass Band from Sainik School, Kapurthala presented a delightful display of finest pieces of music playing martial tunes. The enchanting tunes and lithe movement of the bands were like glistening dew drops earning applause from one and all amongst the audiences. The CM also inspected the well laid out tableaus prepared by the NCC cadets from all NCC Directorates depicting the various Social Awareness themes. She was also crisply briefed by cadets on their respective sand models. Later, the CM witnessed a superlative group dance performance showcasing the diverse talent of young cadets. The dance performance was fine portrayal of country’s rich cultural heritage.
