V L Kantha Rao
V L Kantha Rao, the Secretary of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation was in news as he led an Indian delegation to Bhutan.
- He was part of the move to discuss matters related to cooperation on transboundary rivers and to review the ongoing activities of the Punatsangchhu-I Hydro Electric Project.
- The Punatsangchhu-I Hydro Electric Project is being implemented in Bhutan in partnership with the Government of India.
- Move is basically for flood management and flood forecasting,strengthening and modernising the existing hydro-meteorological observation network in Bhutan
Ahsan Habib Mansur
- He was the Central Bank Governor in Bangladesh and he has been removed from his position.
- Businessman Md Mostaqur Rahman has been appointed as the new chief of Bangladesh Bank.
