Smt. Dikshit underlined the need of involvement of NGOs in ensuring the benefits of various schemes to the eligible vulnerable persons. The GRCs are mainly being run by NGOs. There are mother NGOs to provide training and guidance to the workers. The GRCs have come a long way in bringing a comfortable change in the lives of women and other poor persons. The GRCs have been imparting training to women in different trades such as beauty culture, stitching, sewing, computer, etc. The Centres are striving to make women useful for the society. The trained women have been contributing to the family income. Smt. Dikshit announced that the trainees would be provided sewing machines and beauty culture kits for free in order to enable them to establish their own income generating units. Apart from imparting training, the women are empowered through useful information being provided in the GRCs. These Centres are also providing easy tips on health and imparting non-formal education. The Centres have become a catalyst of change. Smt. Dikshit also announced that information on all social schemes would be made available in the Centres. The contribution of the Mission Convergence and GRCs in identification of real beneficiaries is worth appreciable
