India is globally respected for its great tolerance and acceptance of diversity: LG

New Delhi: ”A great University or an institution of learning is actually should have three or four fundamental requirements, one is very high teaching faculty, secondly very high quality of students with high receptivity, good teaching infrastructure and a good campus atmosphere” this was stated by the Lt. Governor of Delhi, Shri Tejendra Khanna on the occasion of 9th Convocation of the of G.G.S. Indraprastha University, Delhi. While addressing the Convocation he applauded Sh. Dalip Bandoupadhaya,Vice-Chancellor of the University for his constantly making efforts to raise quality standards of teaching and learning in the University and also hoped that all members of the faculty strongly support Vice-Chancellor in their noble endeavor. He further stated that India is globally respected and has the rightful place on the high table because of its great tolerance and acceptance of diversity, Indians are enriched by diversity never threatened by diversity, it is duty of every Indians to make a contribution so that India’s global images enhanced, we have to command respect in our own nation and for this a person must be a person of the highest standard of ethical integrity. LG stressed students to commit them to be a good citizenship because a democracy or a society is fit for democracy when people maintain a high degree of self-discipline. He further stated that a good professional must have very good domain competence, whatever area he is working, he must be updated in his domain because the knowledge is expanding very rapidly and one has to capacity for continued and diligent or hard work. LG also hoped that the students of GGSU will commit the ideal of Guru Gobind Singh, after which the University is named and bring credit to University and themselves. He also said about the quality of teachers and the infrastructure for teaching that any student who is at any institution of this University should have the option of informing the University or VC what in his or her perception is lacking in terms of teaching quality or teaching infrastructure at various institution affiliated to this University.
