New Delhi: Delhi Cabinet today gave its approval for creation of 50 additional posts of DHJS and 100 posts of DJS. It also gave a green signal to expedite recruitment of doctors under the newly constituted the Delhi Health Service. The Cabinet recommended to Hon’ble LG to prorogate the 12th Session of the Assembly. It welcomed the decision of the Union Government to ratify a decision of Delhi Cabinet dated 16th July, 2012 to grant ownership right in 45 resettlement colonies developed from 1950s onward by DDA/Govt. of India to accommodate families dislocated due to removal/demolition of JJ clusters. The decisions were taken in Cabinet Meeting Chaired by the Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit.
While briefing the media after the Cabinet Meeting Smt. Diskhit stated that the Cabinet has wholeheartedly welcomed the decision of the Union Government to ratify our earlier decision dated 16th July, 2012 wherein it was decided to grant ownership rights in 45 resettlement colonies. The decision of the City Government was sent to the Union Government for its concurrence. The Cabinet while welcoming the Union Government’s decision stated that it would benefit around 7 lakh families or 30 lakh persons. These families were allotted plots varying from 25 to 80 sq. yds. on license basis. The City Government while considering their difficulties and their continuation in resettlement colonies continuously for more than five decades had decided to grant them freehold/ownership right.
