CM inaugurates several projects in Delhi
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit today inaugurated railway underpass at Gulabi Bagh, Pratap Nagar in the presence of Union Communication Minister Shri Kapil Sibbal. Speaking on this occasion Smt.Dikshit said that outer Ring Road will soon signal free with the construction of flyovers, RUBs and partly elevated road section between Vikas Puri and Wazirabad involving a cost of about Rs.2400 crore.
Dikshit congratulated the residents in Gulabi Bagh on opening of this beautiful underpass which has made traffic smooth. This has also resulted in a substantial saving in travel time and fuel consumption. The Chief Minister further stated that with the opening of this underpass the commuters coming from Shalimar Bagh, Pratap Nagar, Ashok Vihar, Inderlok, Shastri Nagar, Shahzada Bagh for easy going towards ISBT through Azad Market. This underpass is constructed with the cost of Rs.24 crore.

Dikshit further informed that a stretch of 20 KM from Vikaspuri to Wazirabad on Outer Ring Road is going to be redeveloped with construction of three flyovers at Bhalaswa Chowk, Burari Chowk, Mukundpur Chowk, two loops at Mukundpur Chowk for Right Turn, a six Lane parallel road along Nalah on other side to be constructed from Sanjy Gandhi Transport Nagar to Wazirabad Chowk along with flyover to cross Nalah and NH – I near Wazirabad Chowk, 3.30Km elevated road from Anandkunj Junction to Mira Bagh T Junction and 2.60Km elevated road from Somvihar Chowk to Depali Chowk and another 2.60KM elevated road from Power House Pitampura to ROB at Mukarba Chowk Apart from these, FOBs for pedestrians, Bus lanes for buses, green belt, foot-paths cycle tracks and rain water harvesting will also be undertaken.
