By integrating decentralised collection, scientific sorting, traceability and women-led livelihood generation, the TRF repositions textile waste from an overlooked stream to a valuable component of the urban circular economy.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">The Textile Recovery Facility (TRF) in Navi Mumbai has been conceptualised not as a standalone collection centre, but as a comprehensive circular ecosystem that integrates collection, sorting, technology and livelihood generation.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">The model begins with decentralised collection, wherein branded textile bins have been strategically deployed across housing societies in all 8 municipal wards. To date, 140 bins have been installed, with the current phase targeting 250, ensuring accessibility and citizen participation at the grassroots level.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">The TRF model has helped collect 30 MT of post-consumer textile waste, of which 25.5 MT have been scientifically sorted. Over 41,000 items have been processed at an average of nearly 500 items per day. The initiative has reached more than 1,14,575 families through outreach efforts, conducted over 75 IEC workshops and onboarded 350+ society representatives, reflecting strong citizen participation and institutional engagement. The 21 places along the 349 km long Sabarmati-Dandi route where Gandhiji had made night halts during the historic Dandi yatra from March 12 to April 6,1930, will also be developed.  There will be simple huts with basic facilities at these night halts. There will be memorial stones at these locations with his speeches engraved on it. Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics & Information Technology Jitin Prasada dedicated the new Aadhaar App to the nation. The new Aadhar app is assumed as a significant milestone in identity verification keeping people at its core.</span><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">Shri Prasada congratulated UIDAI for the commendable work and underlined that Aadhaar remains a digital governance showpiece for the government. He said the UIDAI is making service delivery hassle free and seamless, and the new App will accelerate the process further.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">S Krishan, Secretary, MeitY said the new App will promote data minimisation and enhance security and promote selective sharing of information by Aadhaar number holders. </span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">Designed for ease of use across the entire spectrum of users, the Aadhaar App supports a wide range of real-life use cases. These include hotel check-ins through Offline Verification Seeking Entity’s (OVSE) QR code scanning.
