Dr. Shobha Vijender, founder President of Sampurna, a
leading name in the struggle for women
rights and uplift of downtrodden has alleged that the Congress party which once
claimed itself the champion of women cause, has under the present leadership,
due to its waning interest in morality, totally devoid of intelligentsia
committed to the principles of Mahatma Gandhi era and terrified of daily dose
of scams has out sourced a person as a panel spokesperson who was recently ousted
on moral grounds as main pokesperson. Is
it not the same person who was earlier ousted, on the basis of anndulated C.D.
in respect of the morally explosive charges made by one of the personal staff
who in spite of all the pressures, refused to budge and stood firmly against
the all powerful employer. Dr. Shobha has also invited to the Central and State
Women ommissions, the N.G.O.s working against the crimes against women and the
true Gandhiwadies, if any left in the Congress,to form an combined front to
protest against appointment of the person, as penal spokesperson of the
Congress party, whose earlier ouster from the post of the spokes person stated
to be, due to on proved immorality. Dr. Shobha has mentioned that the Congress
party owes an explanation for so-calledrehabilitation of the person, under political
compulsions, to the women folk as a whole. Otherwise, the increasing crime rate
against the women will increase unbounded making redundant all the declared
welfare steps taken by the Government for women, after independence.
