Directors of self financed engineering institutes were present.
The following decisions were taken :-
1. Guidelines be formulated under which permanent
affiliations to eligible engineering colleges would be given. However, system
inspections by audit cell and quality cell would continue as being presently
practiced.
2. It was decided that the counseling for
admission would be finalized by August every year so that all the admitted
students are able to start attending classes in time.
3. Fee Committee would decide the fee structure
well before start of academic session so that students are not put to any
inconvenience.
4. Proposal for preparation of waiting list of
eligible students would be examined so that in case there are vacancies still
available in various colleges, these could be filled up from the waiting list.
5. Request for migrations from the institutions
should be decided expeditiously.
6. Every effort would be made by the University
and the colleges to improve the content and quality of the courses.
