New Delh: Dr. Shobha Vijender, elected Municipal
Councilor, North DMC has demanded that a CBI Inquiry be ordered for not making
operational the two Super Specialty Hospitals namely Janakpuri
Super Specialty Hospital with 300 beds and 5 storied building and Rajeev Gandhi
Super Specialty Hospital with 650 beds situated in 14 Acers and constructed at
the cost of Rs. 100 Crores, since their construction in 2005 and 2003
respectively.
She has also alleged that depriving of the needy poor patients
from the super specialty treatment for which the beds were provided in the
hospitals is a criminal offence so much so that some seriously ill poor
patients may have died for want of beds in free hospitals and funds to pay to
the private hospitals.
Now the Delhi Government has declared that these hospitals will
be operational very soon and their management will be through expert
professional management body. In other words by some Private concern.
Apparently, it is result of the Congress Party led Delhi Government’s hidden
agenda to hand over the fully developed infrastructure to the already chosen
Corporate by back door. The Government has not specifically declared that these
Hospitals under the new management will provode free medical services to the
general public.
The conspiracy appears
to have been hatched even before construction of these
Hospitals. Otherwise these Hospitals should not have been remained
un-operational on the flimsy grounds of non availability of
the qualified staff for the last more than 7/9 years. If a Corporate
office can find medical professional than why not the Delhi Govt? The
Government had shown its intensions in 2007 when it declared to run these
hospital on Public Private Partnership. And the staff in these Hospitals on
contract basis for 90 days repeatedly and neither necessary budget nor posting
of permanent staff.
