Delhi Transport Corporation gets Lowest Accident Rate Award

New Delhi :Delhi Transport Corporation has been given "Lowest Accident Rate Award" in the field of Urban Services for the year 2012 by Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU). The DTC’s accident rate per lakh kilometer was adjudged lowest as compared to other State Transport Undertakings(STUs) in urban services in India. The award was given by Shri A.K. Upadhyay IAS, President, ASRTU & Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India in a function held at India Habitat Centre, Lodi Road, New Delhi on 03.01.2012. The award was received by Shri Rajeev Verma, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, DTC. A cash reward of Rs.50,000/- and a Trophy for lowest accidents rate per lakh kms. have also been given to DTC on the occasion.
