New Delhi: Leader of Opposition Sushma Sawraj told that FDI is not suitable under the economic, social and commercial conditions of India. During the NDA rule many foreign powers had pressurised for allowing FDI. But in view of the social and economic conditions we did not allow 51 percent investment under FDI. The present surveys also are not in favour of FDI. BJP had strongly opposed FDI in its election manifesto and it will continue in future also.
BJP Delhi Pradesh President Vijender Gupta gave detailed information about the evil consequences of FDI. He told that the Government is suppressing the reality about FDI and misleading the people. 90 percent of indigenous industry, small scale industry will be finished if FDI is allowed. Crores of people shall be rendered unemployed. Government of India should know that Wall Mart has not been allowed to open show room in USA’s New York City. Traditional trade in three countries of Europe has been ruined after the Wall Mart Carfur, Tesco, Metro etc. multinational companies opened their showrooms. When FDI is being opposed in Europe today, why the Indian Government is harming itself by allowing FDI?
