Subhash Arya condemned Urban Development Minister
New Delhi: Leader of House in South Delhi Municipal Corporation, Subhash Arya today condemns the statement of Union Urban Development Minister, Mr. Ajay Maken and Urban Development Minister in Delhi Govt., Mr. Arvinder Singh Lovely and said that Government decision to charge 100% of circle rate from the occupants through sale/purchase of allotted plots and residing there from April 01 to 07, is an additional burden on the poor citizens. The residents of these colonies are living here since 1950. BJP will oppose if any additional financial burden is given to these residents as free hold charge on circle rate basis.
Subhash Arya welcomed the decision of Government regarding providing ownership for 45 resettlement colonies. He said that it is a welcomed step taken after a long time. Mr. Arya said that seeing the Assembly Election in Delhi, Congress Government has taken this decision. Leader of House said that after removing slums and jhugi-jhopri clusters in 1950, Goverment had allotted 25 to 80 sq. yard plot to the residents. These clusters are situated at Raghuveer Nagar, Sriniwaspuri, Wazirpur, Satya Niketan, Sunlight Colony, Dakshinpuri, Pandav Nagar, Shakarpur, Jahangirpuri, Narayana, Trilokpuri, Sultanpuri, Brahmpuri, Seemapuri, Welcome, Janakpuri, Pankha Road and Madangir areas. If Government charge any additional amount to providing their ownership rights to its about 30 lac citizens reside here, we oppose them.
