New Delhi: Former BJP Delhi Pradesh President, Vijender Gupta demands to register a criminal case against Sheila Dixit for misusing the hard-earned money of tax payers of rupees 22 crores in her election campaign in 2008. He said that it is an historical judgment.
The hon’ble Lokayukta recommended that the President Pranab Mukherjee should intervene and take action against the CM for using unscrupulous ways to publicize her party performance. It is a national shame that in the capital, huge public funds are siphoned off for party political purposes.
He said that people of Delhi would not tolerate the misdeeds of the CM. We would come on streets if Sheila Dixit is not being punished. It is really unfortunate that every time before the Assembly elections the CM of Delhi spent the tax payers’ money for publicizing her image. For the last 3 terms, the proportion of government money spent on advertisements has increased with the gigantic proportions.
The article of Uday Sahay, Director (to Directorate of Information and Publicity) boasting himself unknowingly brought this ugly fact before the public and the untiring efforts of Sh. Vijender Gupta as a common man ultimately were endorsed by Lokayukta. It is to be noted that the bureaucrat resigned the post just after the elections and as a reward he was posted to CWG by the CM.
He further said that BJP delegation will go to the President of India to take the cognizance of the recommendations of hon’ble Lokayukta. The reimbursement of rupees 11 crores by Sheila Dixit would be a lesson for publicity monger politicians.
