Indian Economic Services trainees briefed about SDMC functions

New Delhi: SDMC today organised two days orientation programme for 28 Indian Economic Services trainees. In this programme trainees attended different sessions regarding the functioning of various Departments, Zones, House & Standing Committee of Municipal Corporation.

Trainees had a meeting with the Commissioner of SDMC, Mr. Manish Gupta. He gave an introduction about Municipal Corporation and its key functioning aspects. They also attended that Meeting of SDMC (House) and carefully listen the discussions regarding Budget.

Mayor of South Delhi, Mrs. Savita Gupta and Leader of House, Mr. Subhash Arya also met with these trainees and discussed the functioning of legislative wing. Mr. Arya briefed the trainees about budget formation and gave wishes for their bright future.

This Orientation Programme also included working of Education Deptt. and welfare schemes, primary health centres, implementation of NRHM, functioning of solid waste management and Engineering Deptt. Trainees will be given an introduction about the working of Zones and its various Departments and functioning of Property Tax Department.
