Minor girl rescued from the clutches of racketeers

New Delhi: The Special Operation Squad of Crime Branch has rescued a minor girl from the clutches of those who runs prostitutions rackets. Police have arrested two ladies namely Shehnaz and Tahira and a person namely Shamim @ Sonu in this regards.

According to SBS Tyagi, DCP Crime branch, information regarding selling of a minor girl was received in the office of SOS Crime Branch. The same was developed and a raiding party under the supervision of Inspr. Satyabir Singh and overall supervision of ACP/SOS K. K. Sharma was constituted and a raid along with intervention officer Divya Rawat of Shakti Vahini NGO was conducted at Near Chandgi Ram Akhada Ring Road Wazirabad, ISBT.

The raid after confirmation of the facts by the informer, resulted into the recovery of the victim aged about 11 Years. The victim recovered from the possession of above said accused persons is reportedly the niece of Shehnaj.

During interrogation of accused Shehnaz it was revealed that after the death of her first husband namely Samim, she fell in the trap of prostitution. Later on she came in contact with Tahira who is also involved in prostitution racket. She forced her niece at the age of 10 Yrs into prostitution. On 27/01/2013 Shehnaz, Tahira and Shamim were trying to ell the girl for a consideration amount of Rs. 70,000/- when they were apprehended by the police team. Further investigation in the progress.
