LG chaired meeting of Security Commission for Delhi

New Delhi; Under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi Tejendra Khanna 4th meeting of Security Commission for NCT of Delhi was held at Rajniwas today. Chief Minister of Delhi –. Sheila Dikshit, Leader of Opposition-. V.K. Malhotra, Smt. Renana Jhabvala, founder of NGO – SEWA, Sh. Praveen Swami, Dy. Editor-Hindu, Commissioner of Police were present as member in the meeting. Hon’ble Lt. Governor stated that directions has been given to all police personnel to respect women and all complaint of crime against women would be registered verbatim and the Police will ensure in their dealings with women. He further stated that there should be zero tolerance for eve-teasing and women safety. Complaints can also be lodged directly to Special C.P. Shri Sudhir Yadav.

many decisions were taken for creating better security environment for women in Delhi in 4th Meeting of Security Commission for NCT of Delhi held at Rajniwas. Some of the decision were like exclusive Telephone lines have been installed at Women Helpdesk at each Police Station working 24X7 with immediate effect. Complaints can also be lodged directly to Special C.P. Shri Sudhir Yadav. On all last Friday of the month, women groups will meet Special C.P. at PHQ to take forward all implementable suggestions on crime against women. There is also “Open House” in LG’s office on this subject.
