North Mayor inaugurates RUB at Gulabi Bagh
Mayor of North Delhi, Mrs. Mira Aggrawal today inaugurated the newly constructed road-under-bridge at Gulabi Bagh-Roshanra Bagh level crossing at a cost of Rs. 14 Crore. On the occasion, former Chairman, Standing Committee and Delhi Pradesh BJP President, Mr. Vijender Gupta, Chairman Standing Committee, Mr. Yogendra Chandolia, Leader of the House, Mr. Mahender Nagpal were also present on the occasion. Area Councillor, Mr. Arvind Garg presided over the function.
On the occasion, Mayor, Mrs. Mira Aggrawal said that now the people residing in the areas nearby will not have to face the problems of traffic jams as this RUB would ease the traffic follow between Shakti Nagar, Inderlok, Ashok Vihar, Shalimar Bagh, Keshav Puram, Pitam Pura and Azad Market. She said that NDMC has completed the project on priority keeping and mind the inconvenience to the citizens. She added that this would amount to saving of fuel and time besides check over the environment pollution due to slow vehicular movements.
Delhi Pradesh BJP President, Mr. Vijender Gupta said that Delhi Govt. should not intervene in the development works carried out by the Corporations. The Chief Minister of Delhi inaugurated the RUB constructed by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation in a hurry while Delhi Govt. had nothing to do with the project. He said that all the three Corporations are engaged in providing maximum possible civic services in a better way to the citizens but Delhi Govt. is not extending its desired support.
Chairman Standing Committee, Mr. Yogender Chandolia informed that this RUB has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 14 crores. The project was started in February, 2010. He added that NDMC is constructing 5 other Road Under Bridges to facilitate the citizens in commuting. Mr. Chandolia said that our efforts are to provide developments as per the need of the citizens.
