New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today inaugurated OPD Services of 200 bedded Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital at Kokiwala Bagh, Ashok Vihar in the presence of Union Communication Minister Sh. Kapil Sibal. Speaking on this occasion, Smt. Dikshit stated that her government has been striving hard to make available best possible advanced healthcare to people by commissioning hospitals at reasonable distance.
Speaking on the occasion Union Communication Minister Sh. Kapil Sibbal congratulated local residents that new hospital would ensure modern and advanced healthcare to them. He complemented the city-government for initiating number of welfare schemes relating to healthcare. Delhi has witnessed a sea-change and credit goes to Smt. Dikshit. Delhi is also emerging as Education Capital of India.
Dr. Walia stated that Health Department has earned number of achievements during last 14 years because of able guidance of provided by the Chief Minister Smt. Dikshit. She has been instrumental in completion of hospital projects for which funds were made available easily. Dr. Walia called upon medical and para-medical personnel to provide healthcare to all and treat their assignment as part of a noble mission. He also informed that Delhi Government will open nine more dispensaries in various parts of the Capital very soon.
Dikshit stressed the need of proper maintenance in hospitals. Presently, the OPD services for all disciplines is being opened for the public. Further, IPD & emergency care facilities will also be provided by July 2013 so that the hospital functions in its optimum capacity to provide comprehensive healthcare to the public.
