New Delhi: The recent punch of RTI by he CIC on the political parties could be a fresh move to clean and impart transparency inside the house. However the response displayed by these political parties are not so encouraging and they have stated their comments with fully carefully.
However the latest move by the Central information Commission in which it has been said that six major political parties would be answerable under the Right to Information Act, can be termed as a crucial step for the party itself.
It is noted that the full bench of bench of the commission said that six major parties of the country like Congress, BJP, CPI(M), CPI, BSP and the NCP are “substantially financed” by the central government and hence liable to be brought under the RTI Act’s ambit.
Certainly the move taken by the CIC would be a milestone if implemented by these parties as it will be the first step to clean the home first and then look towards the other.
However a lot has to be done by the parties and the response displays by the parties shown that they need to time to explain their views. Certainly they want to go in details about the decision as hey will have to work accordingly and it is a rare case for these political parties for which they will have to show their unity.
