New Delhi : Raanjhanaa, the much awaited movie with full of romance and innocent love which has been presented on screen by starring Sonam Kapoor and Tamil film actor Dhanush is all set to rock the cinema hall. It is the Bollywood debut movie for Dhanush which has been directed by Anand L. Rai. The director and stars were seen recently at Crowne Plaza, Delhi promoting their film.
Sonam, who has played the character of Zoya Haider was enthusiastic about her role and character. She said, “The role I play is something with which many girls will identify with. She is a middle class girl in her values, is very headstrong and emotional. On that level, I do connect with her. I may not be perfect and have many layers to my personality. When Zoya falls in love she believes in it and feels strongly about it. Love is complicated as I believe in it too, like her, but very few people like her have the courage to take a stand.”
Addressing the questions related to his Bollywood debut Dhanush said, “I am doing my 26th film; definitely the audience loves me, and with the Bollywood obsession of muscular men, I like myself this way.”
“There are two ways to impress a girl, one is the Shahrukh Khan way but there is a chance of pissing the women off with heroic acts, when that does not work, the ‘tapori’ way works, pursue the girl till she says yes”, when asked about his romantic streak in the film.
Krishika Lulla, producer said, “This is a different type of romance, the intensity and the chemistry shown in the film is unique”
Written by Himanshu Sharma. The music of the film is composed by double Academy Award Winner, A. R. Rahman. The film is produced by Krishika Lulla under the banner Eros International.
The film is scheduled to release on June 21, 2013.
